Gambling in New Jersey is underway and the industry is booming so far. Over 35,000 player accounts were created in the first week andin early December Governor Chris Christie said that he expects online casinos in NJ to generate over $1 billion in revenues through the industry’s first year.

Governor Christie is now attempting to bring online sports betting to New Jersey, but he must prove his state is allowed to offer such entertainment. The battle Christie is waging appears to be headed to the Supreme Court where a ruling will determine whether the 1969 Wire Act applies to New Jersey casinos.
